Boondocks - Mt. Manalmon

Adventure is out there! -Russell
While we were out prancing, they posed for the camera

Did you like Up? The animated film brought to us by Pixar Animation about a grumpy old man whose lifelong dream was crushed by the biting realities of life? Hahaha. Ok so let's not get all mushed up. I liked Up. In fact, I loved it. See, one of the many things that it gives us a hindsight of would be that sense of adventure. And how one loses it in the face of adversities. There I go again. Segues to sappy life stories. Hahaha. Geez, that movie just gets to me. Moving on some more.

So, it was a Friday. And we went to Bulacan, stayed overnight at Sir Alex's abode. I missed the company's (i.e. First Gen's) free ticket to a film showing in Podium - Kung Fu Panda 2. And the company's CSR activity the next day which was Art Duo. Choices, tsk.

Saturday, we readied ourselves for a two-hour drive to Mt. Manalmon. Inside the car - bickering, howling, teasing, and plain gossiping about Spark. Haha. Mean girls. Anyway, the trek to Manalmon was easy enough, albeit a little steep. It offered a lot of activities for people with infinite storage of ATP, or Adenosine Tri-phosphate. Hah! Geek. :D

First off, the rafting.
Rafting to the other side
River crossing
Took a short breather.
Posed on a tree. A must.

And when we reached the summit, I decided I want to push through, and climb the boulder. Easy enough, eh? Nah.

My knees were buckling. I had to hold on like a leech. Insurance does not cover mountaineering activities.

See, I did not go through all that challenge climbing the boulder for this picture. Bummer. But then again, this is the one I've got, thus, I have to live with it. Haha. Querulous. Haha. Fine, I'm whiny. :))

With Yeye. 4th and 5th.
Lunch was by the river.

Instead of taking the raft back to the other side, we used the monkey bars. They have a zipline as well, but we opted for the one which is free. Guess.
Free falling

And Chabs' swimming lessons. (I'm trying to upload the video here but it's too long and I need to learn first how to shorten it.)

Then the afternoon was spent spelunking. The trail was a little more technical, not to mention treacherous, than the one in Sagada. And we found ourselves doing stunts that James Franco did in 127 Hours. Hee. <3. James Franco. <3.

And how could I forget that fateful day. Baging and I had a bittersweet and wondrous encounter.
Question: Ano'ng sabi ng isda nung hinahati siya?
Answer: I'm two-na!
Princess: I can relate, Fish! Trust me, I can very well relate. =))

Ah. Mother Earth. You are by far, the awesomest of all awesome. Beat that Barney Stinson!

Wait! I take that back. I kid, Barney, you're still #1. :)
