Around the world in 80 minutes

Are you familiar with the book - Around the World in Eighty Days? Maybe you're more familiar with the movie. It stars Jackie Chan. Anyway, back to the book, it's a classic written by Jules Verne.I am not much fan of classics, but this one, I liked instantly. The book was bought by my sister for 20 bucks. Quite a bargain, really. To think that it was considered a masterpiece... By me! Hahaha. Oh well. I liked how the protagonist, Phileas Fogg, a wealthy bachelor, won the bet by a simple miscalculation. Of course, when you travel the world towards east, you lose a day. Oops! Forgive my blunder, that might've been a major spoiler but who cares, right? Everybody loves a happy ending!

And everybody loves Christmases!

Ah Christmas!

The holding company decided to throw a street party for the folks. 5 decades. Still here.
The First Philippine Holdings.

The idea was brilliant. A few days before the actual party, we were given passports. (I got mine on the same day since I was out at fieldwork.) It looked like this.

When we arrived at the venue,
With our travelling bags.
Clowns, jugglers, and people high up on stilts were bustling around:

Halaman ako. Mumamind set!

Then, we traveled around the world. Nah, maybe not our feet, but our tongues were in for a delightful surprise of cuisines from around the world. First stop, sorbetes!

Sweet for appetizer was never good idea. I felt full right away. On second thought, maybe it (ice cream) was a good idea! :) Diet mode on.

Then, China
Not a fan of their serving, though.
 We were queuing for..

Then stopped at a table to eat, err, binge?

And got more sweets.
