Preps

Dearly beloved readers,

I write today after an 8 hour trip from Caticlan to Batangas, and another 2 hour drive to Manila.

Hehe. Formalities aside, I and  4 other friends/acquaintances went to Boracay for the Holy Week. Since it was my fourth time visiting the place, I basically wanted to cliff dive. But since we were late in deciding whether to push through or not, the airfare hiked up to about 9,000++ Php one way. We have other options such as driving via the RORO (roll-on-roll-off) and the 2Go 8-hour ferry trip. I was adamant on the ferry considering I can get very seasick. However, since we were sailing night time, I gather it won't be as bad.

We booked online through their website. Schedules here.

It should be noted that since the 2Go travel site is currently being developed, you book the to and fro separately. Book one way and only the administrative services are added. We decided to take the Tourist Class. We also added linens and insurance for a total fee of Php 1,007 - one way.
Not bad

We retrieved the ticket at the Batangas port, paid the terminal fee of Php 30 per person. Also, it was a common occurrence that the linen is not included in the ticket. Ask the counter to add the item "linens" in your tickets, else, print another ticket itinerary. Also, always bring ID, they will ask you to surrender one and return it once the linens are returned.
Tourist Class
This is a pretty big A/C room.
Better bring your jackets and blankets with you.

Non-A/C Accommodation
I don't recommend this if you suffer from chronic seasickness

Looking for Accommodation

Our accommodations were booked by Ate Lyn (Her contact number is +63 910 4812 928). She is a local who offers other activities in Boracay. As said earlier, we were procrastinating. All accommodations I've been to, were fully booked. Thus, it was a reprieve to have a local look for us a place.

We booked LaPlage de Boracay in Station 1. The room costs us Php 5,000 per night. It's a short walk from the beach front, but you had to cross the main street to get to the beach side.

The minute we arrived in Boracay, we went to  Ariel's House. It is located just behind Obama's Grill, beside Club Paraw in Station 1. We deposited 200 pax for a day in Ariel's Point in Buruanga, which we were headed to the next day. The boat will leave 11:30 the next day, and will return shortly before sunset. Total cost is Php 1,500 inclusive of buffet lunch and unlimited drinks, beer (Pale, San Mig Light), rhumcoke, sodas, and water.
The fall is estimated to last sqrt of 3 seconds.
This is according to the resident geek.

I will write more about the trip once I get the pictures. As it is, I still have not purchased myself a camera. Teehee. I am hoping that by some miracle, I can get one for free. Hahaha! Til next time folks.
