Calaguas - Beach Camp Extreme

Ah! Calaguas.
Our trip to Calaguas started on a Thursday. We bought bus tickets in Cubao. And shopped a bit for stuff we might need.

Friday.
Our tickets were booked for 10pm. But at 7, we were still in Mandaluyong. And several people were rendering overtime works.

Ting, Yeye, Chabs, and I went ahead to secure our seats. Once in Cubao, we had dinner in one of the fastfood chains in the vicinity.

The bus was showing Rise of the Planet of the Apes and thus, we were not able to sleep for around 2 hours.

Saturday.
Upon arriving in Camarines Norte, we had pondered upon revising our itinerary since it was forecasted that waves would be as high as 7-12 feet. But one text from the local bangkero, and we were off to Calaguas Island.

Buying lunch, dinner, breakfast, and water.
Loading everything inside the tricycle.

Toploaders
Chabs asked, "Kaya mo ako, Kuya?" (Are you able to carry me up, Big Brother?) To which Kuya replied, "Of course!" And like in slow motion, Chabs and Kuya went toppling down. Good thing Chabs had on her backpack, she was spared from broken bones but was not left unscathed. First casualty, several bruises and a cut on her legs.
Take 2
A roller coaster ride. More cheap thrills for me. The boat ride to Calaguas was a euphoric experience, one I would gladly do all over again.
We arrived on the island.
But due to the strong gusts of winds and the heavy currents of the sea,
it took us about 30 minutes to dock.

Playing tug-of-war against the currents.

We arrive.

Tip: Apply sunblock to your neck people!

They set up the sleeping quarters.

And prepared LunNer (Lunch-Dinner). Hahaha! I have this innate propensity of casting shortcuts to hapless words. Or maybe I'm giving myself much credit for such portmanteau. Hahaha.

We left Calaguas on the same boat route. Only wetter, since we were moving against the waves. And my upset stomach decided that my breakfast wanted a peek-a-boo. Hello there Nissin Waffer, we meet again. Hahaha. I have no idea whether it was caused by the extreme thrill of the boat ride or a hangover. Nevertheless, it was not a pretty sight. Good thing the sea washed up every teeny bit evidence that it ever occurred. Save for this blog which is reminiscent of the whole incident! Haha.

Went to Bagasbas to clean up.

Hahaha! How funny. Ting, don't worry. Nobody's raping nobody. :))
Ok
