Peeta

My ride decided I'm too hot to handle, he overheats and I hafta pay a humongous amount of sum. Hahaha, I kid. Peeta, babe, you rob me more than a newborn human would. I still love you, though. We shall continue going places. And we shall discover Luzon! 

Read the story here.

A Saturday, I was off to see the sister. Stuck in traffic along EDSA, I hear the soft murmur of the engine purring and it comforted me. Then it gradually dissipated. And completely stopped. What was I to do? I frantically tried to resuscitate it, to no avail. I was in the middle lane, panicky, and with all courage I could muster, I tried to weave and geared toward the side, 3 lanes away. Thankfully it was in a downhill part and I was able to successfully park outside the EDSA lanes. I called Francis and asked what could've been wrong. Was it the battery? No, it won't stop midway. Could it be the fuel distributor? I just changed mine a few weeks back. Nah it couldn't be it. I tried to restart it, this time, while on neutral (I always forget to do that!). And I was successful. Just 2 km ahead, there was a Shell Station. And Peeta stopped again. A cab tagging behind me. The driver was not impressed with my antics. And was pretty pissed at the delay. Hahaha. I'm sorry, Kuya, Peeta was acting up. Anyway, it turned out the fan was not working due to faulty wiring. And the water pump was leaking. And the timing belt! The timing belt, it was brittle. So maybe Peeta's overheating was a blessing in disguise. Should the timing belt decided to give, I woulda hafta overhaul the complete engine top.

So, thank the heavens for little things. Even things that are pricey. Even things that hurt. Maybe an adversity really has its rainbows. No matter how faint. No matter how expensive. You just gotta have faith. :)
Peeta diagnosed.
