I received the results of my IELTS exam (held last March 17) today.
And I have not prepared much for it. But God is great. :)

Procrastinate
Planning the Holy Week now
Ride a ferry 8 hours.
Trip to the finest beach;
Take a dive off a cliff.
Roam the islands nearby
Shriek with the actresses beaming g'byes.
Wade in the waves.
Tanned - I am summer's slave.
Boracay, I will see you again soon. :)

5 CUES a decent woman should know
A good reflection from my good friend Jhal Fojas. A bit conservative, if you ask me. But some good points though. Good points.
For those single out there, these few things should help you, a LOT
1. if a man of vices (who does drugs, drinks and/or even just smokes) starts courting you- you should reflect on your choice of friends, either you have provoked him to like you or you’re with the wrong company
2. if a man tries to touch you (in anyway, hold your hand, squeeze your shoulder and worst tries to kiss you) without permission- you should reflect on how you dress, either you showed too much flesh or you posted pictures of you in facebook or any site which makes him think he can easily get something from you
3. if a man tries to flirt with you (in whatever form, in person or virtual)- you should reflect on your attitude about strangers, work mates and other acquaintances, either you seemed so gullible that he thinks he can get away with it or he had seen you flirting with other men
4. if a man freely talks about his indecent behavior- you should reflect on your actions, either he sees you as someone who would do the same indecent things or he thinks you have been with a similar man as him
5. if a man does all the things enumerated- you better run because you’re not with your prince charming but a beast who will prey on you whenever he gets the chance
An alternative from Meynard.
#5. if a man does any/all of the above - check first, are you in a bar? are you drunk? is he drunk? ... if you answered yes to all, congratulations! you've ventured into uncharted (more like undocumented/hazy-memory-'coz-you-were-stoned) territory.

around the World in 8 hours
Shenzhen, China (Window of the World and Shenzhen City)
Here's a fun day. Eight hours was not even enough to roam China's mini-World.
We were tired after three days of nonstop walking. Thus, we were late prepping up on our last "gala" day. We woke up 8AM. An hour late for our itinerary. Nevertheless, we were giddy for a day in Mainland China.

Dining out with HS
Ordered a whole lotsa food fit for gluttons like us.

MAtaCAU
MAtaCAU, a play of Tagalog word matakaw, which means, gluttony. Nah, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. However, we were anything but.. We were every bit as glutton as one could possibly get.
The third day, we were scheduled to visit Macau. The Las Vegas of South East Asia. It did not disappoint.
0800 - Walked to China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui
0830 – Turbojet Ferry Ride to Macau
0930 – Arrived at Macau Ferry Terminal

Somebody that I used to know
I'm into Gotye now.
Reminds me of a passage in "Love in the Time of Cholera."
Meanwhile, I'd like for you to enjoy this song. :)
Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember

We have nothing in common except memories.

travel begets kilig
Kilig. A tagalog word for that giddy feeling when you are excited, infatuated, or, mushy it may seem, in love.
There are many forms of kilig. My travels give me the same kilig much like any romantic love. So for Valentines this year, here was what planned. Four whole days of travel to China.
The first and second days were spent in Hong Kong. Third day in Macau. And fourth day in Shenzhen.
The first of a series of blog is here. And hey guess what? What?! It's an itinerary! Hooray!
So on to the juicy details.
Day 1. Hong Kong (Lantau Island Tour, Shopping)
03:40 – Checked-in at Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Terminal 3
Had breakfast at the terminal. Then slept. *insert sheepish grin here*
Gah. I should learn poise. Really. *laughs*

But before anything else, let me greet Kristine Arada
Happiest Birthday in Hong Kong!

Hello from Iloilow
I have no cameras.
That's my instant disappointment.
Nor have I managed to borrow one from friends, nor from my department. We have three cameras, all in Bicol. Pfft.
In the meantime, I have my trusty iPod to take snapshots. Not much. I won't even bother uploading them.
But it gives me another idea. Maybe I'll tick off places in the Philippines I've been off to - for work.
March 12, 2012. My first time to set foot in Panay Island. Hello Roxas City. Not much glimpse of the place. But I saw Cogon Island. Which was beautiful from afar.
Then land traveled for three hours to Iloilo City.

Expenses
I'm writing my blog as early as now. Feb 14. The day before our actual trip. Im cramming everything. From work to school to my trip. I will be on leave for 3 days, enough time to roam three new cities, enough time to miss a submission of a take home midterm exam, and enough time to miss a whole bunch of deliverables.
I organize rather loosely. It's almost 1 am now and i was just about done packing everything up. Added a few memo notes like refill my shampoo and to bring my eye cream, i try to snooze off. Heavy lids, but not much. Enough to make sense.
We woke up at 2:30am. Set off towards Shaw to meet the rest of the gang.

Blooms in Baguio
What have you been up to? Me, i went to a bus station and bought tickets. Nah not for a bus, but for a van. Bus tickets were sold out. The next available was not until 3pm of the next day. So, dubious it may seem, we bought a more expensive fare for a less comfortable ride. (I was told my blog was not informative, so here: Bus from Cubao to Baguio @ 435 php while van was @ 550 php.)
By far, this has been the most impulsive long trip I've done.
