When we dined in Claude's on December 30, I found the place very homey, as it as a makeshift restaurant from a heritage house. Claude, the owner, was also there, thereby giving off a personal vibe. I liked how he roamed table-to-table asking us how our stay was, lingering just long enough for a small talk, and leaves us to enjoy our dinner. He told us his daughter is working in Makati, and was the other Filipino contending for The Apprentice Asia. Proud dad, he was.
We were served with french bread and bruschetta filling.
This was our pick of the night:
For starters we had a salad recommended by one of the staff. I'm guessing it's name is baked goat cheese salad.
BGCS split into two (PhP 290) |
Tenderloin (PhP 715) |
Shrimp Piquante (PhP 400) |
The food was exceedingly delicious. I would definitely recommend Claude's to my friends visiting Davao City. It might be a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The service was excellent, but they don't have a service charge. Had to take initiative and leave our good servers with tip.
Here's a map going to their place.
