Water

Because I'm a water freak like that.

I shriek over waves: Swells of water which feels of frenetic energy, strength, and welcoming reprieve.
I adore the color of the sea washed ashore. Of little ripples and bubbles of linked hydrogens and oxygens.
I am an avid fan of the outdoors. And water, well, it is one of my favorites.

I feel rapturous every time I perfect a water sport. Makes me feel accomplished and legit. Haha.

One long weekend, we had no any out-of-town plans. But Chichi was adamant on going some place. So, I giddily suggested, "Let's wakeboard in Nuvali."

I found a few people who are like me last May. "Like me" in the sense that, they can be dragged off anywhere at even the shortest notice.

Dino, Chichi, Tish, and I went to Laguna that morning. And as we were busily chomping off food at SLEX's McDonalds, we saw a couple of Coopers lined up along the gas station. And boy was I gushing! 'Twas a remarkable sight. I had to keep a hold of my mouth, lest, you see liquid drooping from the lips of the green eyed monster. Hihi! :)

Not long after, we saw more luxury cars at the wakepark! Whew, it must be the day of the Richie Richs.
Pogi baby

Okay, I'll stop my car raves here.

Nuvali, Sta. Rosa

Activities:
Fish feeding - 20Php per pack of feeds.
Bicycling - don't know. hihi. (This must rank the worst info blog ever.)
This is why we need the RH Bill. Hihi. I kid. :) No pun intended! :))

Here fishy fishy!

Koi!

We started towards the Wakepark at 10AM. And picked Chichi up along the way. Their office is just across the park.
Good thing she was there, we were able to pay up for the deposit! Haha. We barely had cash on hand, it was utterly funny. They accept MasterCard and Visa, by the way. :)

Here is the list of the cable rates:

1 hour pass - Php 250
2 hour pass - Php 475
4 hour pass - Php 595
8 hour pass - Php 995
DAY AND NIGHT PASS (0830H - 2100H) - Php 1500
Night Riding Pass (1730H - 2100H) - Php 595
Private Cable Rental (0630H - 0830H daily) - Php 8,000/hour

You need to deposit Php 250 for the helmet and the life vest. After equipment are returned, you can get your deposit back.

It was a weekend, thus, we were greeted with throngs of people on queues. It was a sad fact that they only have one cable for beginners. We need to get in line, wait for around 40 minutes. And try to grapple with the rope for a few seconds, only to hear the sound of crash a few seconds thereafter.
Fumbling for the perfect stance

They actually have two kinds of wakeboard. One, which they use for beginners, is a board with sandals. The other, which is more difficult to take off once you submerged in water, is usually for long time players who know how to take off the shoes even on water.

I was taught by one of the instructors how to take off the wakeboard with shoes, laces and all! As it was my turn on the cable, I was giddily expecting to be washed out after a couple to seconds. But, lo and behold! It was much easier to use the wakeboard with shoes than the wakeboard with sandals. The laces keep the feet steady much longer. It's even easier to complete a round. I was ecstatic!
I can't wait for the next round of wake boarding! See you regulars! See you goofies! ;)

The Gang
It was a fun-filled day. Our muscles sorely exhausted. I will return and harness my water skills! :)
